Try Drawing Something Out of Your Book for Readers' to see.

In The White Wolf, Mating, Book 1, a most unusual house is described. Cordone's House is built inside a mountain. All rooms are "hand-carved" out of solid rock. The builders are not revealed until book #3! Not the best Paint artist, but this is a basic idea of what it looks like. Enjoy!

"Dan stood to the side allowing her to enter first, then pushed a button with the number “5” on it. The elevator was made of all glass. Valon certainly didn’t want anything to obstruct his view, did he?

"The mansion - a totally inappropriate name for it - was five stories high, and looked down upon a five story atrium. The solid glass wall looked out onto the most amazing view, but it was the inside that had her mouth hanging open. The landings were designed in half-moon shapes leading to at least three rooms on each of the top two floors. Forgetting her fear of heights, Kaitlan looked over the railing and below, she saw three other graduated landings. Floors two and three were split in the center with bridges connecting the landings. A three story, natural rock waterfall flowed between them, and into a natural rock pool on the main floor. Outward from the pool, there was a fire pit in the central area with a solid copper hood over it larger than the pit, which rose through the glass roof ventilating the smoke. An open fire pit? Inside? Seriously? The roof was at least half-way glass for natural lighting to flow into the house making one feel as if they were outside."

Not sure how I came up  with it, but it just sort of "popped" into my  mind.  I thought you'd like to get a chance to see it.

CORDONE VALON'S HOUSE

As authors, we can visualize places, people, and things from our books. But, our readers might visualize something else. That's what's great about reading!  Every book is different!

The house in my book is hand-carved out of the solid side of a mountain in pure stone.   You find out more about how it was done in Book 3.  However, I attempted to draw something of that house the way I visualized it.  I'm going to try and draw some more, but this is my initial attempt.

Enjoy!
