You will never read another supernatural/fantasy/romance/erotic book like this one. Guaranteed. Those who have already read it from pre-ordering from the publisher, started begging me for book 2 before they had finished book 1! That absolutely made my entire venture worth it! Readers have already been giving 5 stars on Amazon & Barnes & Noble as well. That's something I never expected.Good thing I wrote all three books at the same time! Editing 2 & 3 are next on my list, and I hope to have the 2nd book out later this year.
Nothing is as good as word of mouth. An author really appreciates their family, friends, fans, coworkers, etc., letting others know about your book(s). Most authors are only concerned with putting out a great story for people to be entertained. Reading can take you anywhere you want to go. You pick the book, read it, and pretend you are one of the characters. And, the next time, you can pretend you are another character. You can read a favorite book dozens of times, and still find something new each time you read it. It sets the imagination alive, and inspires children to do their best. Personally, my original dream was to become an astronaut. Well, time, and under 5' tall cured that dream. BUT, I follow NASA, and all the missions, because I still love to dream of going to space. I have to admit that I never, in my wildest dreams, ever dreamed of, or entertained the thought of, becoming a writer.
How my book came about was that I stumbled into becoming a freelance editor. I minored in English in college, but never even thought of editing books, articles, websites, or any other venue. But, I had been editing for my daughter for years and years. After being asked to edit a book for a friend, I found that I loved it! I love to read, so it follows that I'd want my author's book to be the best it could be. Last July, 2013, I came back from a weekend away, and an idea hit completely out of the blue. I still do not know where my book series, The White Wolf Prophecy Trilogy, came from, but I do know it just "popped" into my head.
I was a bit tired of the same old designs of werewolves, vampires, elves, and other supernatural beings. I wanted something else. Something adult. After being asked how my series is different, I said that the majority of supernatural/fantasy/fiction books all revolve around young teens who haven't even lived yet, but who were expected to wield great powers. But, what I found after asking several women between 18 -60 is that they WANTED these types of books. Many of them had rushed to read 50 Shades of Grey, and for them, it was about time someone wrote for adult women - to give them what they have craved. More questions found that many women are what I like to call "shadow readers". They crave fantasy books, but those on the shelves and in the stores both online and physical, are most all geared specifically for tweens, teens, and older teens. But, there are so few for adult women, they are relegated to reading these books.
But, the teen books do not give the excitement that an adult woman wants to read. That is evident in romance books. Romance, courting, sex, and everything in between, is what they want to read. And, they don't want "tame". They want to BE the character of the woman. They want to experience all of it. From mildly explicit to ultra explicit, that is what most adult women want.
My book begins a woman's journey into the supernatural at the age of 27. I felt this was a good age, because a woman would have had life experience by this age, and that she could make informed decisions when a huge responsibility has been dealt. I also took it to a different level as well. These supernatural characters are completely different than anything you have ever read before. You get to experience 4 separate women who are friends, their romantic stories, but their matings and their sex lives which are exciting, and each one has a entirely different first experience with their mates.
